The Chateau of Salettes, built on a chalk outcrop amid the lower slopes, the very cradle of the vineyard, is surrounded by 40 hectares of vines of an average age of 40 years.
Facing due south on highly favourable clay-chalk soil, the unique micro-climate is an added bonus.
A blending of grapes typically associated with the appellation, such as Mauzac and Loin de L'Oeil for the white wines confers extra body character. Chateau of Salettes wines are ranked among the great Gaillacs and already featured at François 1st 's table.
Aged in " merrain " oak casks, our wines mature with increased finesse and suppleness. n° 17 |
