First buildings date from the XIII century. Salettes has appeared in texts since 1252, due to aiding with the Sainte-Cécile cathedral’s construction.
Several Château de Salettes owners were famous : The Cominha family, Lautrec Viscount, and The Hautpoul Family.
The first cry of Général d’Empire Hautpoul was heard from the castle tower near the lounge now named "General Hautpoul".

The Château de Salettes has always been exploited for its vineyards, but in 1994, Roger Le Net fell in love. He bought this building for the quality of the soil. At the time, the castle was in ruins
